Spreading cheer tough, but not futile
Editor’s note: This is the last in a two-part series. So, there I was Thursday morning, standing at the eastbound exit from Highway 126 onto Pioneer Parkway in Springfield, holding a cardboard sign. “$ 10 bills,” it said. “1 Per Driver. Just Ask! Happy Holidays.” Giving away money, I was about …

Q&A: How can I get the best car deal out there?

Question by rolotres: How can I get the best car deal out there?

Best answer:

Answer by need2know
research, and more research.make a notebook for newspaper ads ,dealers will do just about anything to get a sell.always ask for them to make a copy of the sticker sale sheet on every car.you can easy reference to take around for cross reference of seperate dealers of same type car.and use it as a bargaining tool.for discount lots with offer the same car for less.even though you know you want to buy a new one.I found out one item on the sticker which was called “acid rain protection”($ 500.00) on the sticker price.i could purchased a tube for $ 18.00 and do it myself.i called around ,not knowing what it was to other car lots.i thought if they put it on a honda, they put it on a cadillac.cadillac serviceman told me what it really was.* important * before signing final deal.ask the dealer to step out while you go over the paper work, take caculator with you.if people are talking while you sign paperwork,it’s a distraction.make notes of any “oral agreements”.you are allowed to write in these conditions on the sales agreement.let the dealer sign first ,to your oral agreements.such as you want dvd player as part of the deal. like i saved $ 100.00 saying i wanted blue straight from the factory,i knew they wanted to sell all the green ones they had on the lot.take your time.use consumer report books, internet for reliable charts. Oh yeah, get a extra keyless entry in your oral agreement.my sensor went out.they alone cost me $ 90.00 each. Take your someone with you who is level headheaded, and knows something about cars!Good Luck!!

Cthulhu Mobile Number 3; a white 2002 Chrysler Town & Country EX Mini-Van.

She received her Cthulhu plates on 04-May-2010.

And that makes 32 years of California Cthulhu coverage for my three cars during that time. I wouldn’t feel safe in an ocean state with any other plate.

If you are ever in the Orange County area of California, keep an eye out for this vehicle, and the CTHULHU plates. And say, "Hi!" to the old, fat, balding geezer behind the wheel! If the car hasn’t been stolen, it might even be me…

A funny thing about this car, is that I don’t actually like white cars. But due to my current budget, and having to replace the old car quickly (try getting around in California without a car!), I grabbed the best, and fastest deal I could; even if it meant not getting a color of my choice. So the wife and I both consider this an undercover/unmarked Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror fan vehicle; with only the plates to give us away and blow our cover.

So what color should a California Cthulhu Mobile be?

Q&A: What resources are available to retrieve a duplicate new car window sticker?

Question by TIMOTHY PARKS: What resources are available to retrieve a duplicate new car window sticker?
My auto dealer removed my new car window sticker and “lost it” and continues to say a duplicate will be obtained but it never happens and my calls are now ignored. I understand a new car window sticker guarantee is upheld by law referencing the: Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958, after which the sticker became known as a Monroney sticker in the industry, named after Almer Stillwell “Mike” Monroney, United States Senator from Oklahoma. What recourse am I privy to?

Contact the new car sales manager, give him the VIN, and wait while they run it through their computer.

Used Car Buying: Three Things You Need To Know

It doesn’t matter how you decide to go about used car buying, but when you go to the Internet to get those used cars online and a good deal, you still need to be aware there are certain things that you’ll need to know so that you can get the best deal possible.

Here’s where a used car buying checklist helps out.

Remember that you need to get the vehicle’s services records. Just because you’re buying something from online car dealers or even somewhere else like a government auction, it doesn’t mean that you can skip this important piece of information. It doesn’t even matter what your mechanic says, you need those service records to ensure that the car buying process starts off on the right foot. No service records? Then it’s time to move on and look for another car.

‘As is’ means that you’ll need to be especially careful. When you see used cars online that have this as part of the conditions of sale, it’s a red flag that should raise your concern but not necessarily kill the deal. One of the ways that you can feel more comfortable about car buying this way is to learn all you can about what a mechanic would look for. Once you’ve got that covered you’re sure to find some great deals from online car dealers.

Make sure that you get a reliable car history as well. Most of the reputable places that you buy from will supply a CARFAX report. If they don’t but you really like the car, you’ll need to secure your own. But never go through the car buying process without getting one of these

Used Cars Online

If you’re the kind of person that likes to keep on top of the latest innovations when it comes to cay buying, you’ll want to look at the possibilities for buying used cars online. Here it’s possible to see a much greater selection that you would through more traditional models. On the cutting edge of this new industry is ibuyer.com, where the buyer tells the sellers what they want and they bid for the business.

Regardless of the method that you select, you need to follow the rules for car buying since you need to be sure that you get the vehicle in the end that will satisfy you needs and last for as long as possible.

Ira Benet knows all about the car buying process. He’s worked for years buying and selling used cars online.

I’m going to be buying a new car soon. I want to buy something brand new – with as few miles on the odometer as possible.

Somebody told me once that any car with over 100 miles on it is used. True or not? What about a model from last year with less than 100 miles on it. Is it still new?

What is the definition of a new car?

Best answer:

Answer by aviophage
A brand new car is one that has never had a title issued for it; that is, it has been owned only by the manufacturer or a dealer.

When a title is issued to license that vehicle for the use of an ordinary owner, the vehicle becomes a used vehicle.
